next to normal

An unflinching look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including best musical score, and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, “Next to Normal” was also chosen as "one of the year's ten best shows" by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times.

"Next to Normal" contains adult language and deals explicitly with mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, and grief. The production includes references to a suicide attempt, the death of a child, and the use of psychiatric medication. Additionally, there will be flashing lights, strobe effects, and haze used during the performance. Viewer discretion is advised.

There will be an American Sign Language(ASL) interpreted performance on Saturday, March 1
